Kintec Global Recruitment seeks a Lead Mechanical & Piping Project Engineer for a long-term engagement in Olen, Belgium. You will act as the technical leader for CAPEX projects, directing multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring safe, reliable installations from concept through realization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in a technical field; electromechanics or chemical tech preferred.
• Extensive experience in mechanical & piping design for process/industrial environments.
• Experience with multidisciplinary CAPEX projects from concept to completion.
• Ability to direct engineering partners, suppliers, and contractors and assess deliverables.
• Familiarity with PED, ATEX, EN 13480 standards and good engineering practices.
• VCA-VOL certificate required or willing to obtain before starting.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset.
• Project controls awareness: scope, schedule, costs, risks, changes.

Responsabilités

• Develop and safeguard technical basis, design philosophy, scope, and limits.
• Lead and integrate engineering across disciplines focusing on M&P; involve process, E&I, automation, civil, safety, and infrastructure.
• Organize design reviews for safety, compliance, functionality and lifecycle value.
• Translate requirements into robust M&P layouts, P&IDs, equipment specs, routes.
• Assess technical solutions for feasibility, safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness.
• Direct EPCm partners, suppliers, and contractors on content, quality, schedule.
• Organize technical decisions and ensure traceable actions.
• Identify risks and assess impact on scope, schedule and costs.
• Support tender packages, bid evaluations, supplier selections, clarifications.
• Follow up fabrication, inspections, FAT, delivery, installation, SAT, punch lists.
• Provide engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, handover.
• Support PM with technical recommendations and transparent reporting.
• Coach engineers and contribute to standards and lessons learned.
