Cyient Semiconductors is seeking a Senior IT System Administrator (Linux/EDA/Semicon) to maintain critical EDA infrastructure supporting ASIC design activities. You will manage Linux-based systems, virtualization, storage, and networking while driving automation and reliability across Europe, the US and India.

The role requires infrastructure excellence, collaboration with engineering teams, and fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 8 years of Linux systems administration or infrastructure support.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience in mission-critical engineering environments.
• Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Deploy, administer, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure for semiconductor development.
• Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter environments and storage/backup systems.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot incidents.
• Support EDA and engineering environments; ensure license servers and related infra.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to optimize system performance.
• Implement secure configurations; manage network VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Develop automation scripts and operational tools; pursue modernization initiatives.
