A technology solutions company is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Brussels for on-site work. The ideal candidate has at least 14 years of experience and expertise in Java, Maven, and Quarkus. Key responsibilities include designing applications, optimizing databases, and developing microservices. A solid understanding of DevOps and strong communication skills are essential. The role offers a daily rate of 475-495€.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java, Maven and Quarkus/Spring in building large-scale applications.
• Strong experience with Git, ideally Bitbucket.
• Strong background in MongoDB and PostgreSQL, with a focus on optimizing data access and ensuring scalability.
• Expertise in Kafka for building event-driven systems and integrating with the ELK stack for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of performance optimization and profiling techniques for both code and database layers.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Nexus for DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to implement security best practices, including secure coding, vulnerability management, and compliance.
• Excellent soft skills, effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable applications using Java and Quarkus.
• Architect and optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL schemas for high performance.
• Develop microservices using Kafka for messaging and integrate with the ELK stack.
• Identify and optimize system performance bottlenecks in both code and infrastructure.
• Provide guidance to junior developers and share knowledge.
• Take full ownership of tasks from analysis to implementation and deployment.
