afarax is seeking a freelance Technical Designer / Senior Java Developer to strengthen their team in the banking sector. You will design and implement backend services using Java, Spring, and OpenAPI, and work with Azure cloud environments.

You will analyze requirements, maintain architecture, ensure delivery within scope, and provide technical coaching. This client-facing role offers ongoing freelance opportunities with a flexible engagement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java 11, Spring, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Experience with RESTful APIs / OpenAPI and backend architecture.
• Proficient in Oracle/PLSQL; familiar with Git, Maven, JUnit and Mockito.

Responsabilités

• Manage and maintain the technical architecture of a defined application domain.
• Draft and maintain technical analyses and solution designs for large systems.
• Analyze requirements to design robust, high-performing technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with architecture standards and frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical coaching and guidance to development teams.
• Design and develop backend applications and RESTful services using Java.
