Azuro, a financial institution, seeks a Senior IT Auditor to drive audit engagements from scope to recommendations. You will cover IT governance, access management, IT general controls and cybersecurity, translating complex risks for stakeholders.

You will lead audit assignments, coach junior staff and contribute to the annual audit plan, all while applying COSO-based methodologies and maintaining independence and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum several years of experience as IT Auditor, Internal Auditor or External Auditor with IT specialization.
• You hold a relevant additional degree or professional qualification.
• CIA, CISA or equivalent certification is an asset or you are willing to obtain one.
• Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French considered a strong asset.

Responsabilités

Job intro

For a financial institution, Azuro is looking for an experienced IT Auditor. You will take on a key role within Internal Audit, combining in-depth IT expertise with a broad perspective on processes, risks and governance.

You will join a team of auditors with diverse areas of expertise. Together, you will conduct audits across a wide range of activities, processes and technologies. You will be given the autonomy to work independently, take ownership and actively contribute to the further development of a strong audit function.

Function

As a Senior IT Auditor, you will manage audit assignments from A to Z. You will contribute to defining the scope, develop audit programmes, conduct interviews and analyses, formulate findings and translate them into concrete recommendations.

Your focus will include IT governance, access management, IT general controls, data quality, cybersecurity, IT architecture, change management and the impact of technology on business processes. You combine technical depth with the ability to explain risks clearly to a variety of stakeholders.

In addition, you will:

• take on the role of assignment leader for audit engagements
• monitor the planning, quality and progress of your audit files
• coach and support junior auditors during assignments
• contribute to the preparation of the annual audit plan
• work according to a clear audit methodology, inspired by COSO and professional Internal Audit standards
• collaborate with Audit Managers and communicate clearly on risks, controls and improvement actions

Requirements

You have several years of relevant experience as an IT Auditor, Internal Auditor or External Auditor with a clear IT specialisation. You are used to independently developing audit programmes, leading assignments and substantiating your findings.

In addition:

• you hold a relevant additional degree or qualification
• you have a strong interest in IT risks, data analytics, IT architecture and digital transformation
• you understand the relationship between technology, processes, operational risks and internal controls
• you are analytical, curious and well organised
• you communicate clearly and can make technical subjects accessible to non-technical stakeholders
• you are able to coach junior colleagues and take responsibility within a team
• a CIA, CISA or equivalent certification is an asset, or you are willing to obtain one
• you are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset
