The team handles Cobol/.NET-based applications on a Microfocus mainframe emulator, with frontend tech like .NET and CRM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as IT Functional Analyst.
• Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Computer Science, or Sciences.
• Experience in insurance domain, Non-Life underwriting.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Methodical, structured and pro-active.

Responsabilités

• Translate business requirements into structured IT solutions while maintaining a functional approach.
• Translate functional design into technical design.
• Prepare functional integration test cases based on requirements.
• Test the product before delivery to users.
• Analyze potential corrective actions to be taken.
• Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation.
• Work with business to ensure final solution fits needs.
• Report progress to manager and project leaders.
• Support Project leaders in project implementation.

Job Description

NextLinkis having an existing position as a IT Functional Analyst in Brussels area,Belgium.

General information:

- Startdate: ASAP

-Work location: Brussels area, Belgium

The candidate will be part of a dynamic IT Departmentof around 100 persons with multiple teams and with E2E responsibilities. Thisdepartment is responsible for all software developments of insurance related applications.The applications are developed based on a Microfocus mainframe emulator inWindows (programming language Cobol/Mix Cobol+.NET), with various technologiesused on the frontend (.Net, CRM), printing, Integration and communication side.

As aFunctional Analyst, you will

• Bein charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solutionwhile keeping a functional approach and respecting the standards
• Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design
• Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
• Test the product before delivery to the users
• Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken
• Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities
• Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs
• Report to your manager and project leaders on the progress of your work
• Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation

Profile:

• Minimum 3 years experience
• Professional bachelor or master in engineering, Computer Sciences, Sciences.
• Significant experience as IT Functional Analyst, ideally in large company, in direct contact with Business stakeholders
• Non-Life underwriting insurance
• Ability to work both autonomouslyand as part of a team
• Good communication and listening skills
• Result oriented with attention for quality and details
• Methodical, structured and pro-active
