Ports North in Brussels is seeking a Senior Fraud Data Scientist on a long-term contract. You will design and refine fraud detection models, turning massive transaction data into actionable intelligence, and identify new attack vectors with Fraud, Risk & Compliance teams.

The role requires 5+ years in data science, strong Python/SQL/Spark, ML, anomaly and graph analytics, and fluent English. Hybrid setup with ~50% on-site in Brussels; open to international candidates with right to work in

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in data science, preferably in financial services or fraud.
• Strong Python (Pandas), SQL, Spark/Hadoop experience.
• Experience with supervised/unsupervised ML, anomaly detection and graph analysis.

Senior Fraud Data Scientist - Contract (Brussels, hybrid ~50% on-site)

A leading European bank is scaling its AI Tribe and looking for a Senior Data Scientist who lives and breathes fraud detection.

This is a hands-on role building the models that stop financial crime before it happens - combining machine learning, graph analytics, anomaly detection and behavioural analytics on large-scale transactional data.

You'll be:

• Designing and continuously improving fraud detection models
• Turning huge volumes of transactional data into actionable fraud intelligence
• Uncovering new attack vectors and building detection strategies with Fraud, Risk & Compliance teams

You'll bring:

• 5+ yrs in data science, ideally in financial services / fraud
• Strong Python (Pandas), SQL, Spark/Hadoop
• Supervised & unsupervised ML, anomaly detection, graph/network analysis
• Fluent English (no Dutch/French required)

Brussels-based, ~50% on-site. Open to all nationalities with the right to work in Belgium - relocation candidates welcome.
