Bakker & Partners partners with a renowned international technology supplier to fill the role of Senior Sales Engineer Food in Belgium. The successful candidate will strengthen market position, regain market share, and build sustainable customer relationships across the Belgian market.

Responsibilities include consultative selling of food processing solutions, contract negotiations, market analysis, and collaboration with engineering and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Food Technology, Business, or related field.
• 5–8 years' experience in front-line B2B sales of industrial equipment in the food processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of food processing technologies in meat, fish, dairy, cheese, vegetables or potato processing.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in high-value machinery and Capex projects.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building abilities with experience engaging multiple stakeholders in complex customer organizations.
• Consultative, solution-oriented sales approach with a no-nonsense mentality and ability to travel across Belgium.

Responsabilités

• Build Relationships: Develop and maintain deep, trusted partnerships with existing customers and actively develop new business to increase market share at various levels in Belgium.
• Provide Consultative Selling: Analyze client production needs to recommend tailored, high-efficiency food solutions (ovens, frying units, coating, grinding, packaging).
• Negotiate contracts: Lead commercial and technical negotiations for long-term capital equipment contracts.
• Analyze markets: Monitor food industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities in Belgium.
• Collaborate internally: Work with engineering, product managers and service teams to design technical project proposals.
• Represent the brand: Showcase products and network at major international food technology trade shows and follow up leads.
