Cochlear in Mechelen seeks a Senior Embedded Wireless Software Engineer for a fixed-term role to join our Advanced System Prototyping team. You will design and validate embedded firmware for ARM MCUs, focusing on BLE, Auracast, and low-latency audio streaming.

You will collaborate with researchers and industry partners to prototype wireless solutions, optimize DSP and embedded AI, assess RF performance, and contribute to future Cochlear products that improve hearing worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, CS or related field.
• Experience with embedded C on ARM MCUs and RTOS-based systems.
• Solid BLE knowledge and firmware development for embedded systems.

Responsabilités

• Develop and validate embedded firmware for ARM-based MCUs.
• Implement BLE and 2.4 GHz wireless communication and Auracast.
• Prototype and assess wireless solutions including RF performance and antenna characterization.
• Optimize DSP and AI on resource-constrained devices.
• Collaborate with researchers and industry partners to drive innovation.
