Cochlear Mechelen is seeking a Senior Embedded Wireless Software Engineer on a fixed-term contract until October 2027 to join the Advanced System Prototyping team. You will design and implement embedded firmware for ARM MCUs, focusing on BLE and 2.4 GHz wireless systems used in hearing implant technologies.
You will prototype and validate wireless subsystems, contribute to AI-enabled audio processing, and collaborate with universities and industry partners to advance Cochlear's innovation
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Strong embedded software experience in C on ARM-based microcontrollers; RTOS expertise.
- Solid BLE knowledge and protocol stack experience.
- Experience with firmware for embedded systems and DSP fundamentals.
Responsabilités
- Develop Next-Generation Wireless Firmware for ARM MCUs and BLE/2.4 GHz systems.
- Drive Audio Processing & Embedded AI Innovation on resource-constrained devices.
- Collaborate with universities, research institutes, and industry partners on R&D.
- Stay current with wireless, embedded AI, and audio technologies to influence Cochlear's roadmap.
