Macq is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the embedded vision R&D for smart cameras and real-time analysis. You will architect software for NVIDIA Jetson platforms, develop real-time image processing pipelines, and implement modules in C++ and Python on embedded Linux.

You will drive sensor fusion, edge deployment of vision models (TensorRT/CUDA), and ensure security across data flows while optimizing latency, power, and memory.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent by experience.
• 5+ years of embedded software development, preferably in vision or imaging.
• Strong proficiency in Modern C++ and Python.
• In-depth knowledge of embedded Linux.
• Experience with image processing (OpenCV) and real-time pipelines.
• Understanding of real-time constraints and low-level optimization.
• Security fundamentals for embedded and connected systems.
• Autonomous with leadership and collaboration.
• Fluent English; French/Dutch a plus.

Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Smart Cameras & Vision

Why you are the Senior Engineer we've been looking for:

• You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or you are equal by experience


• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development, ideally in vision or imaging


• Strong proficiency in Modern C++ and Python


• In-depth knowledge of embedded Linux


• Expertise in image processing (OpenCV or similar) and real-time pipelines


• Solid understanding of real-time constraints and low-level optimization


• Fundamentals of security for embedded and connected systems


• Autonomous, with technical leadership skills and a collaborative mindset


• You are fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a plus

Also Nice To Have

• Hands-on experience with the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem (JetPack, DeepStream, TensorRT)


• Experience with multi-sensor fusion (camera-camera, camera-LiDAR, camera-radar) and state estimation (e.g. Kalman filtering)


• Knowledge of embedded security practices (secure boot, encryption, secure communication, system hardening)
