imec in Leuven, Belgium, invites a Senior Sensor-Fusion & Edge-AI Engineer to own end-to-end architectures for multisensor perception on embedded edge platforms. You will bridge algorithmic, hardware and platform teams, delivering demonstrators and roadmaps that shape real-time, power-aware systems.

Requirements include a PhD and 5–8 years in perception, sensor fusion and edge AI, hands-on hardware deployment, and strong C/C++/Python skills.

Qualifications

• PhD with 5–8 years of applied experience in perception, sensor fusion, and edge AI.
• Proven track record shipping real-time, compute-heavy systems on edge hardware.
• Deep expertise in state estimation (EKF/UKF) and calibration of heterogeneous sensors.
• Experience processing Radar, LiDAR, and IMU data with early fusion approaches.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with FPGA toolchains.

Responsabilités

• Architect end-to-end multisensor fusion and on-device AI pipelines.
• Drive hardware-software co-design to optimize state estimation and inference.
• Establish benchmarking to trade off accuracy, latency, and power.
• Translate complex requirements into architectural specs and work packages.
