Atlas Copco Group is seeking a senior designer for the Portable Air Division to accelerate greener, sustainable solutions for challenging applications. You will lead design efforts for mobile compressors, coordinating feasibility studies and translating master specs into robust 3D/2D designs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior designers.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of 3D design and 2D annotations using CAD systems.
• Good knowledge of English, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge and experience in Creo and/or Inventor.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in (electro)mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Analytical skills to develop different solutions and evaluate pros and cons.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and create full (pre) feasibility.
• Develop a design planning together with the project engineer and work towards deadlines.
• Work out the complete design for new products in line with the master specification of the project.
• Optimize designs for functionality, quality, cost-effectiveness and reliability.
• Consult with suppliers, production, SQA, purchasing, and service to improve designs.
• Plan and coordinate design work if several designers are working on your project(s).
• Collaborate with Gecia: set targets, deadlines and follow up.
• Prepare and release bills of materials and drawings.
• Follow-up prototypes: build-up and processing feedback on the design.
• Check designs (3D & 2D).
• Collaborate with senior designers from other teams to improve the design process.
• Contribute to our knowledge database by adding your experience and lessons learned.
• Train and advise new designers.
