Sogeti Belgium is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and operate Databricks-based data solutions in complex enterprise environments. You will own end-to-end workloads, from ingestion to delivery, and collaborate with data architects, analytics consultants, and client teams to ensure scalable, performant data solutions for production use.

The role requires hands-on Databricks, Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, and SQL expertise, plus English and Dutch proficiency.

Qualifications

• Senior data engineer with Databricks in production environments.
• Strong Spark and PySpark skills.
• Deep knowledge of Databricks lakehouse concepts and Delta Lake.
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch; French is a plus.

You design, implement, and operate Databricks‑based data solutions in complex enterprise environments. You take ownership of end‑to‑end Databricks workloads, from ingestion and transformation to optimization and reliable delivery. You work closely with data architects, analytics consultants, and client teams to ensure data solutions are scalable, performant, and fit for production use. Core responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Spark
• Implement transformation patterns using PySpark and SQL
• Apply lakehouse and Delta Lake patterns for reliable data processing
• Optimize performance, stability, and cost of Databricks workloads
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on platform design choices
• Ensure data availability and quality for analytics, AI, and advanced use cases

YOUR PROFILE

Must have:

• Strong experience as a senior data engineer working with Databricks
• Hands‑on experience with Spark and PySpark in production environments
• Solid experience with Databricks lakehouse concepts and Delta Lake
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts
• Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch is required. Knowledge of French is a strong advantage.
