Summ.link zoekt een Senior Data Scientist Fraud Detection in Brussel om geavanceerde fraudedetectiemodellen te ontwikkelen en te verbeteren. Je werkt in een multidisciplinair AI-team en neemt deel aan projecten die financiële criminaliteit aanpakken.

Je analyseert grote datasets, past ML en grafanalyses toe en werkt nauw samen met Fraud Operations, Risk en Compliance. Een Master in een relevante richting is vereist, vloeiend taalvaardig in NL/FR/EN, en een hands-on mentaliteit is gewenst.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 7 jaar ervaring in Data Science.
• Aantoonbare ervaring met fraud detection of financieel misbruik.
• Sterke programmeervaardigheden in Python en SQL.
• Ervaring met Spark, Hadoop of gedistribueerde omgevingen.
• Sterke ML- en statistische vaardigheden.
• Ervaring met anomaly detection en grafanalyse is zeer gewenst.
• Productie-omgevingen: implementatie en onderhoud van AI-oplossingen.
• Vloeiend in Nederlands, Frans en Engels.

Responsabilités

• Ontwerpen en verbeteren van fraudedetectiemodellen.
• Analyseren van grote transactiedata en klantgegevens om fraudepatronen te ontdekken.
• Toepassen van ML, anomaly detection, graph analytics en gedragsanalyse.
• Feature engineering, data enrichment en data preparation.
• Onderzoeken van nieuwe fraudebouwers en detectiestrategieën ontwikkelen.
• Samenwerken met Fraud Operations, Risk, Compliance en Productteams.
• Vertalen van bedrijfsuitdagingen naar schaalbare analytische oplossingen.
• Modelprestaties monitoren en optimaliseren.
• Bijdragen aan AI-gedreven besluitvorming binnen de organisatie.

Senior Data Scientist Fraud Detection

Are you a Senior Data Scientist with a

You're not the kind of Data Scientist who only builds models. You want to solve real-world problems, uncover patterns others miss, and use AI to fight financial crime. For a large AI organization within the financial sector, we are looking for an experienced
Senior Data Scientist Fraud Detection who wants to play a key role in developing advanced fraud detection models. You'll join a multidisciplinary team of AI specialists, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers working on innovative AI solutions that improve both customer experiences and internal operations.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and continuously improve fraud detection models.
• Analyze large volumes of transactional and customer data to uncover fraud patterns and emerging threats.
• Apply machine learning, anomaly detection, graph analytics, and behavioral analytics techniques.
• Perform feature engineering, data enrichment, and data preparation to maximize model performance.
• Investigate new fraud schemes and proactively develop detection strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Fraud Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Product teams.
• Translate business challenges into scalable analytical and AI-driven solutions.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously optimize model performance.
• Contribute to the growth of AI-driven decision-making within the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Science.
• Proven experience in fraud detection, risk analytics, financial crime, or related analytical domains.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or distributed data processing environments.
• Strong background in machine learning and advanced statistical methods.
• Experience with anomaly detection, graph analytics, network analysis, or behavioral analytics is highly valued.
• Experience deploying and maintaining AI solutions in production environments.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
