Keystone Solutions is seeking a Data Protection Officer for a client-site consultancy to ensure GDPR compliance within a federal government agency. The DPO will report to the management team and operate with a high degree of autonomy.

The role covers DPIAs, data processing inventories, policy development, incident response and required communications with the Data Protection Authority. Fluency in Dutch or French with good knowledge of the other language is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.
• At least 8 years of experience in data protection.
• Experience with risk analysis methodologies (DPIA).
• Technical knowledge of secure data exchange between government organizations.
• Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for data protection.

Responsabilités

• Oversee GDPR compliance and privacy regulations.
• Advise management and services on data protection obligations.
• Develop, document, and maintain a coherent framework of roles, procedures, and reporting on data protection.
• Report to senior management on the status, risks, and improvements regarding data protection.
• Ensure the independence of the DPO function and avoid conflicts of interest.
