You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement ETL/ELT frameworks, and ensure data quality through automated validation, monitoring, and governance. This role requires strong Power BI, DAX, and data modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Min 5 years of experience in automating reporting and data pipelines.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data integration, and semantic modeling.
• Proficient in Power BI, Power Query (M), DAX, and Excel-based reporting.

COSMOTE Global Solutions NV is looking for a Senior Data Engineering & Reporting Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated data pipelines and reporting solutions that enhance data availability, accuracy, and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, automated data pipelines and workflows to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Design and implement data integration processes, including ETL/ELT frameworks, for large and complex datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable automated reporting solutions.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data through automated validation and monitoring processes.
• Leverage data visualization tools to automate the generation and distribution of reports and dashboards.
• Implement best practices in data engineering, including data governance, security, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and reporting issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering and reporting processes through innovation and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.

• The expert must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in:

  • Automation of reporting processes replacing Excel-based solutions, VBA macros, and manual workflows
  • Integration of heterogeneous data sources (e.g. Data Warehouse, Excel files, Denodo or similar virtualization layers), including data cleaning, restructuring, and relationship modelling
  • Design and implementation of parameter-driven reporting logic based on semantic models
  • Development of structured data extraction solutions supporting Financial and Operational Reporting
  • Optimization of report performance across data source, data model, and visualization layers
  • Implementation and maintenance of Row-Level Security and other access controls

Required Competences:

• Data preparation and transformation for analytical and reporting purposes
• Power BI dataset design aligned with central semantic models
• Proficiency in Power Query (M language) for data preparation and modeling
• Advanced DAX development for complex measures and calculated columns
• Structured data extraction (Excel, CSV, structured tables) aligned with report filters and parameters
• Use of Power Automate for generating and distributing Excel outputs
• Documentation, quality control, and handover of automated reporting solutions
