Job summary

Sia Partners is seeking a Senior Consultant in Data Architecture to lead client engagements, design scalable data pipelines, and drive data engineering offerings across Azure, Databricks and Snowflake. You will mentor teams, influence business development, and represent the firm at events.

Fluency in Dutch is required; German or French is a plus. The role offers flexible work arrangements and exposure to international projects with a global team.

Qualifications

• Completed WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering, or a related technical field involving substantial programming.
• The specific stack you will work with depends on the client, commonly Databricks, Snowflake and Azure.
• 3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research).
• Strong analytical mindset with systematic problem-solving abilities.
• A fast learner with strong communication, adaptability and entrepreneurial drive.
• A strong interest in data and AI topics, ability to quickly build expertise, and helping clients seize opportunities.
• Fluency in Dutch, excellent communication and presentation abilities; German or French fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Pipeline Design: Build robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures for large volumes of data.
• Cloud & Distributed Systems: Design data solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed frameworks (Spark, Kafka).
• Database Design & Data Modeling: Develop logical/physical data models across relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases.
• Data Integration & Loading Patterns: Implement batch, streaming, real-time data integration across data sources.
• CI/CD & DataOps Practices: Enable CI/CD and automation for data services and infrastructure.
• Within Sia: Develop and enhance Data Engineering offerings through training, working groups and publications.
• Represent Sia at events, contribute to thought leadership (articles, white papers, webinars).
• Drive business development with proposals and client relationships.
• Manage engagements as advisor; mentor junior to medior consultants.
