WLG in Belgium is seeking an experienced cyber security specialist to lead hands-on hardware and software security tasks, including boundary protection, monitoring, and forensic tooling, and to integrate solutions into existing environments.

You will install and test firewalls, vulnerability tooling, and monitoring across Cisco/Juniper/Linux ecosystems, and write detailed installation guides and hardening procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in cyber security or a comparably demanding technical field.
• Broad knowledge of security tooling and its configuration, including boundary protection.
• Recent hands-on work with Juniper, Palo Alto, Nessus, RSA NetWitness and Splunk.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure and test firewalls, routers, switches, proxies and VPN concentrators.
• Install, configure and test vulnerability assessment tooling and forensic tooling.
• Install, configure and test monitoring, detection and incident response tooling.
• Configure virtualisation and software-defined networking technologies.
• Validate security settings across Cisco, Juniper, Linux, Unix and Windows environments.
• Assess network performance, security and availability through monitoring and analysis.
• Investigate faults and incidents, implementing improvements.
• Run testing, validation and acceptance for deployed capabilities.
• Write installation guides, configuration baselines, test plans and reports.
• Advise on architecture, tool configuration and system integration.
• Support vulnerability management and incident response including log analysis.
• Support handover to operations with knowledge transfer and training.
