Experis Belgium is looking for a Senior Backend .NET Developer in Zwijnaarde. In this role, you will develop and maintain an e-commerce platform focusing on performance, stability, and security in a cloud environment. You will be part of a cross-functional scrum team, taking ownership of backend solutions.

Overview

Senior Backend .NET Developer in Gent, in an in-house, modern company with a warm culture. You work in a cloud environment and stay up to date with the latest technologies in .Net development. The role focuses on backend development in .NET/C#, with involvement in architecture, cloud integration, monitoring, CI/CD and reliability. There is also work on internal tools for managing products, content and designs. The platform serves millions of daily users, is high-traffic and requires strong performance, stability and security.

By joining a cross-functional scrum team, you take end-to-end ownership of the backend and management applications of an e-commerce platform with multilingual websites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and maintain an own e-commerce platform with a strong focus on performance, security and reliability.
• Translate functional requirements into scalable backend solutions.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following best practices.
• Contribute to the full software lifecycle: analysis, development, automated testing, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build internal tools and management applications for efficient management of products, content and designs.
• Contribute to architecture, cloud integration, monitoring and system reliability.
• Proactively improve existing solutions and introduce new technologies and optimizations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience (Senior level) in backend development, with strong expertise in .Net Framework and C#.
• Knowledge of React, API and client-server architectures (REST, gRPC), cloud environments, and both relational and document-based databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and GitHub is a strong plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with clear and constructive communication.
• Full-stack experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team but also take independent responsibility.
