Scrambly is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build core systems serving millions of users worldwide. You will work on user-facing product systems and internal tooling, focusing on high-performance, scalable Node.js services and a robust backend platform.

You will design and maintain RESTful APIs, mentor peers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure while ensuring code quality and architectural integrity across our modern stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Node.js and NestJS.
• Strong system design: RESTful APIs and distributed architectures.
• Cloud experience: GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable.
• Containerization and IaC: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm.
• Databases & messaging: PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub.
• Frontend autonomy: React for internal tooling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in fast-paced teams.
• English proficiency in written and spoken (B2+).

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Node.js RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming to maintain quality.
• Monitor reliability, resolve bottlenecks, manage container lifecycles, and optimize CI/CD with DevOps.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to translate requirements into robust technical specs.
