NCIA is seeking a COMS Senior Engineer to administer Atlassian Jira Software Datacenter and Confluence Datacenter, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance with NATO directives. The role includes configuring plugins, managing access, and coordinating with support for enterprise deployments.

The engineer will implement automation using Bash/Python, Java, Groovy, and Scriptrunner, while collaborating with teams to integrate Atlassian with Microsoft SharePoint and other systems.

Qualifications

• Active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3+ years in related roles; or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years experience administering Atlassian Jira/Confluence Datacenter.
• 5+ years Linux system administration experience.
• 5+ years scripting (Bash, Python) for automation and customization.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Groovy, and Scriptrunner.
• Security-focused with understanding of NATO policies and data protection.

Responsabilités

• Deploy, install, and configure Jira Software Datacenter and Confluence Datacenter per NATO security directives.
• Implement plugins, integrations, and enhancements to meet business needs.
• Manage data confidentiality, access control, and permissions.
• Perform routine system maintenance and ITSM-aligned tasks.
• Execute change requests and coordinate with Atlassian support for issues and feature requests.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize configurations for security and reliability.
• Coordinate backups and disaster recovery procedures with the backup team.
• Provide user support and training on Atlassian tools; document best practices.
