Melexis is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to build strong expertise in Melexis products, develop new solutions, and enable customers to use them.

You will be the technical contact at customer sites, coach engineers, and develop production-level embedded software for motor control and related systems. Travel ~20% and close collaboration with System Architects are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electronics or microelectronics is required.
• 7+ years of semiconductor industry and embedded SW experience are expected.
• Strong customer support experience is essential.
• Expert knowledge of low level/bare-metal embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C and Python programming is required.
• Solid understanding of control theory and IC block-level functions.
• Good knowledge of discrete electronics.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel about 20%.

Your future job

As a Senior Application Engineer at Melexis, you have a crucial role to build strong technical expertise on Melexis products, develop new solutions and enable Melexis customers to use them.

More specifically, you will:

• Be a key technical contact for customers and solve technical problems at the customer site.
• Technically coach fellow engineers
• Develop production-level embedded SW for advanced motor control and embedded systems
• Acquire system knowledge and join the System Architect in the architecture definition specification and validation of innovative hardware and software solutions.
• Propose novel system solutions that solve customer needs
• Follow market trends and customers' needs.
• Author application notes and system documentation.

Your profile

• An engineering master's degree in an electronic or microelectronic field
• More than 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and embedded SW development
• Strong experience in supporting customers
• Expert knowledge of low level or bare-metal embedded systems
• Expert knowledge of programming languages like C, Python
• Good understanding of control theory and the functions of the Integrated Circuit (IC) design at a block level
• Good understanding of discrete electronics circuits
• Advanced technical expertise at the application level
• Effective communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel frequently (20%)
