Job summary

FoodChain ID Brasil seeks a Senior Accountant based in Belgium (Herstal) with hybrid work. You will support accurate accounting across Belgian, French and German operations, lead general ledger and period-end close, VAT filings, and intercompany transactions under the Finance & Administration Manager.

Proficiency in French and English is required. Responsibilities include maintaining the GL, preparing closings, audits, and statutory reports, and driving process improvements with NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Proven general accounting experience, ideally in an international or multi-entity environment.
• Knowledge of VAT and intercompany transactions is an advantage.
• Knowledge of NetSuite or another ERP system is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review the general ledger and closing entries, provisions, accruals, and cut-off entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings within deadlines.
• Reconcile balance sheet and analyse income statement accounts.
• Prepare information for annual accounts, VAT filings, and statutory statements.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and costs; support group reporting and internal controls.
