IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a SEM-TEM Hardware Assistant Technician to join the FAB operations team. You will help ensure the health, quality and reliability of SEM/TEM tools and support inspections to characterise materials at wafer level.

Responsibilities include monitoring tool health, acting as main contact with suppliers, assisting internal users, contributing to hardware KPIs, and SPC activities for TEM tools to maintain stable performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as physics, engineering, chemistry, or equivalent by relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory tools, microscopy equipment or micromachining systems is advantageous.
• Well organized, able to plan effectively, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multitasking.
• Communicative team player with a good command of English.
• Willing to work in a shift system (24/7) including early, late, and night shifts, and one weekend in four.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and follow the overall health and performance of SEM/TEM tools.
• Act as the main contact with equipment suppliers to report, discuss and resolve tool-related issues.
• Serve as the first point of contact for internal users when tool health or performance issues arise.
• Contribute to hardware performance targets and KPIs.
• Support SPC activities for TEM tools to maintain stable and reliable performance.
