Job summary

Fednot, the Belgian notary federation, is hiring a Security Engineer to ensure reliable operation of security solutions. You will contribute to projects that strengthen identity and access management, authentication infrastructure, and monitoring.

The role requires practical security expertise and collaboration across the organization. The position combines operational security with improvement initiatives, and offers a hybrid work model in Brussels, with remote work up to 60% of the time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts and solutions.
• Understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Familiarity with OpenLDAP and Active Directory.
• Scripting knowledge in Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Experience with security tooling and monitoring.
• Experience working with SDLC, RUP and Agile approaches.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define security requirements for Fednot's systems.
• Configure, support and maintain security tools.
• Manage identity components, user accounts and provisioning processes.
• Set up and maintain access management components and observability.
• Monitor security systems and improve reliability.
• Defend systems against unauthorized access and incidents.
• Develop security procedures and policy recommendations.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices to staff and leadership.
• Advise staff and executives on security matters.
