Job summary

HR talents is seeking a Security Engineer to serve as the security reference within the Container Operations team in Belgium. You will safeguard the platform, support development teams in designing and delivering secure applications, and translate security requirements into pragmatic solutions.

The role combines deep technical security expertise with strong communication to drive secure development and container security across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the security of the container platform and the apps developed and deployed on it.
• Implement and monitor security best practices within a container environment.
• Perform threat modeling and help teams identify potential threats and vulnerabilities early.
• Integrate security controls into DevSecOps and CI/CD processes.
• Work with security tools for SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.
• Support the use and expansion of a Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform.
• Assist in defining, implementing and tracking runtime security policies.
• Detect and manage vulnerabilities in containers and container images.
• Analyze security risks and propose measures to mitigate them.
• Coach developers and technical colleagues on secure development and container security.
• Explain security measures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and represent security in a multidisciplinary team.
• Take initiative and ownership for security issues within the container landscape.

Als Security Engineer ben je de securityreferentie binnen het Container Operations-team. Je waakt over de beveiliging van het platform en ondersteunt ontwikkelteams bij het ontwerpen en opleveren van veilige applicaties. Je combineert diepgaande technische kennis met sterke communicatieve vaardigheden. Je weet securityvereisten op een duidelijke en pragmatische manier te vertalen naar concrete oplossingen.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

• Je adviseert over de beveiliging van het containerplatform en de applicaties die erop worden ontwikkeld en uitgerold.
• Je implementeert en bewaakt security best practices binnen een containeromgeving.
• Je voert threat modeling uit en helpt teams om potentiële bedreigingen en kwetsbaarheden vroegtijdig te identificeren.
• Je integreert securitycontroles in DevSecOps- en CI/CD-processen.
• Je werkt met securitytools voor onder andere SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning en compliancecontroles.
• Je ondersteunt het gebruik en de verdere uitbouw van een Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform.
• Je helpt bij het opstellen, implementeren en opvolgen van runtime policies.
• Je detecteert en beheert kwetsbaarheden in containers en container images.
• Je analyseert securityrisico’s en stelt passende maatregelen voor om deze risico’s te beperken.
• Je begeleidt en coacht ontwikkelaars en technische collega’s rond secure development en containersecurity.
• Je legt beveiligingsmaatregelen uit aan zowel technische als niet-technische stakeholders.
• Je werkt samen met verschillende interne en externe partners en vertegenwoordigt security binnen een multidisciplinair team.
• Je neemt initiatief en verantwoordelijkheid voor securityvraagstukken binnen het containerlandschap.
