Eniris BV in Gent is looking for a Security Specialist to safeguard our digital infrastructure and data. You will play a crucial role in identifying risks and implementing security policies that meet compliance standards such as GDPR and ISO27001.

As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our digital infrastructure, systems and data. You will be the expert who identifies, analyses and mitigates risks, and you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. With your expertise, you will help make our organisation resilient to cyber threats and ensure we comply with relevant laws and regulations (e.g. GDPR, ISO27001).

Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing and maintaining security measures, processes and standards.
• Monitoring systems, networks and applications for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conducting security audits, penetration tests and risk analyses.
• Incident response: responding quickly and effectively to security incidents and data breaches.
• Contributing to awareness: organising training sessions and workshops for staff.
• Drawing up and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Advising management and other teams on security issues and new technologies.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or equivalent through experience.
• At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in IT security or a similar role.
• Knowledge of network security, cloud security, identity & access management and encryption techniques.
• Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM), firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or equivalent are an advantage.
• Critical, accurate and results-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and able to explain complex matters clearly.
• Proactive attitude and able to make decisions under pressure.
• A team player who can also work independently.
