Nexeo is currently seeking a Scrum Master in Belgium to join a leading financial institution. You will organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, coach teams, and ensure successful delivery within an Agile environment.

The role requires strong communication, Jira proficiency, and a pragmatic approach to impediments. You will work in a hybrid setup (50% on-site, 50% remote) with cross-functional, international teams. Also support the Product Owner, monitor velocity, and report on Agile maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience as Scrum Master or in Agile environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation and coaching skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, risks and stakeholders efficiently.
• Agile mindset with strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Autonomous, proactive and result-oriented attitude.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective.
• Schedule and monitor key Agile delivery milestones.
• Ensure the proper implementation and smooth adoption of Scrum within the squad.
• Support the Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization.
• Assist the team in delivering Sprint Backlog items and achieving the Definition of Done (DoD).
• Monitor team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and forecasting.
• Identify, track and help resolve project risks and impediments.
• Coach and challenge Agile teams to continuously improve delivery and collaboration.
• Foster self-organization and ownership, remove obstacles, and protect the team from disruptions.
• Provide reporting and visibility regarding Agile maturity and Scrum adoption.

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Agile Facilitation & Project Follow-up

• Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies:

• Provide reporting and visibility regarding Agile maturity and Scrum adoption

Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience as Scrum Master or within Agile environments
• Strong communication, facilitation and coaching skills

• Agile mindset with strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement

Technical Skills

Mandatory

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience with Agile reporting and follow-up tools such as Jira
• Good understanding of software development methodologies
• Good understanding of project management methodologies
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and team collaboration

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking, finance or insurance environments
• Knowledge of Agile metrics and reporting practices
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams

Languages

• Good knowledge of English
• Active knowledge of French or Dutch
• Passive understanding of the second national language
