NMBS-SNCB in Belgium seeks a Senior SAP Domain Architect for SCM to define and lead the end-to-end SCM target architecture on SAP S/4HANA. You will cover Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory & Warehouse Management, P2P, Logistics Execution, and the Maintenance Supply Chain, with deep integration to PM, Finance, Engineering and depot logistics.

You will guide complex transformations, run workshops with senior stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in SAP SCM including SAP MM (basic), IM, WM/EWM, TM and PM integration.
• Led at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation as Domain Architect.
• Experience in asset-intensive, logistics-intensive, or regulated industries (rail, utilities, or MRO).
• Professional experience with SAP Ariba and/or supplier collaboration platforms.
• Advanced professional experience with ADOIT and/or ARIS.
• Availability to work onsite in Brussels (near Brussels-Midi) at least two days per week.

Responsabilités

• Define the S/4HANA SCM target architecture tailored to NMBS’s depot operations, rolling stock maintenance flows, critical spare parts management, and logistics constraints.
• Lead full lifecycle S/4HANA SCM implementations as Domain Architect.
• Own solution design for Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), Transportation Management (TM) and SAP Business Network for SCM.
• Architect integrations with SCM and S/4HANA; model processes for governance and compliance.
• Lead workshops with senior stakeholders (Supply Chain, Rolling Stock, Infrastructure Engineering, Finance).
• Oversee delivery teams, validate design decisions, ensure adherence to future-state architecture.
• Support project execution using ServiceNow, Jira, Xray, Cloud ALM and Solution Manager.

About the shERPa Project

NMBS is undergoing a company-wide transformation through the shERPa program, implementing SAP S/4HANA as a greenfield solution. This program will standardize processes, improve operational efficiency, and enable digital transformation across all business units — including Supply Chain, Rolling Stock maintenance, Infrastructure and Operations.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Domain Architect Supply Chain Management (SCM) to define and lead the target architecture for NMBS’s end-to-end supply chain processes. This includes Demand en Supply Planning across all planning horizons (log-, mid- and short term), Inventory & Warehouse Management, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Logistics Execution, and the Maintenance Supply Chain — all in the unique context of NMBS responsible for safety-critical materials, rolling stock availability, Finance, HR and Customer Relations.
You will design the future-state SCM architecture on SAP S/4HANA, ensuring strong integration with Maintenance (PM), Finance, Engineering, and NMBS's depot logistics. You will guide complex transformations and support NMBS in building a resilient, transparent, and regulatory-compliant supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the S/4HANA SCM target architecture tailored to NMBS’s depot operations, rolling stock maintenance flows, critical spare parts management, and logistics constraints.
• Lead full lifecycle S/4HANA SCM implementations as Domain Architect.
• Own solution design for Inventory Management (IM), , Warehouse Management (Stock room management/EWM), Transportation Management (TM) and SAP Business Network for Supply Chain.
• Optional Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Manufacturing and integration with PM
  Architecture integrations with all the relevant systems within SCM and S/4HANA
  Model processes and enterprise capabilities with ADOIT or ARIS for governance and compliance.
• Lead workshops with senior stakeholders (Supply Chain, Rolling Stock, Infrastructure Engineering, Finance).
• Oversee the results of the delivery teams, validate design decisions, and ensure adherence to future-state architecture.
• Guide integration supporting safety-critical stocking policies, long lead-time parts, multi-depot inventory, and material traceability.
• Support project execution using ServiceNow, Jira, Xray, Cloud ALM and Solution Manager.
• The candidate demonstrates proficiency at CEFR level C1 or C2 in Dutch or French, and at least CEFR level B1 in English.
• The candidate has a minimum of 15 years of professional experiencein SAP Supply Chain Management including SAP MM (basic), Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM or EWM), mobile warehouse solutions, automated warehousing solutions, Transportation Management, and integration with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
• The candidate has led at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANAimplementation project in the role of Domain Architect, supported by evidence in the CV or project references.
• The candidate has professional experience in at least one asset-intensive, logistics-intensive, or regulated industry (e.g. rail, utilities, or MRO).
• The candidate demonstratesprofessional experiencewith SAP Ariba and/or supplier collaboration platforms.
• The candidate demonstratesadvanced professional experiencewith the enterprise architecture tools ADOIT and/or ARIS.
• The candidate confirms availability to work onsite in Brussels (near Brussels-Midi station) at least two days per week.
