SquareDev is seeking a SAP Architect to design and guide the technical architecture of a large SAP transformation programme. You will translate business needs into solid technical solutions, working closely with developers, project managers and business stakeholders to ensure every part of the system fits together well.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and strong IT architecture experience, with familiarity in SOA, ERP ecosystems, and SAP interoperability (RFC).

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for mid level.
• At least 1 year of experience with financial IT systems or financial consultancy.
• Strong experience in IT systems architecture.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture models (SOA, event-driven) and supporting tools.
• Understanding of messaging concepts (reliability, security, routing).
• Experience with system interoperability between different systems.
• Knowledge of IT governance and quality processes.
• Familiarity with SAP interoperability technologies (RFC).
• Knowledge of UML/BPMN modelling.

Role Overview

We are looking for a SAP Architect to design and guide the technical architecture of a large SAP transformation programme. Requirements

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Create strategies and plans for the project's IT architecture, working closely with other stakeholders.
• Study business and technical needs, and propose solutions, explaining the pros and cons of each.
• Document solutions and how they will be implemented.
• Design business processes.
• Translate business goals and requirements into technical specifications the IT team can act on.
• Weigh the costs and benefits of proposed changes to the organisation's systems.
• Design and review the architecture of information systems, applying service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
• Design system components and how they fit together.
• Analyse how different information systems will connect and work together.
• Work on data analysis and data modelling.
• Coordinate the rollout of the technical architecture.
• Act as the technical bridge between project leaders and developers.
• Write architecture documents and take part in technical working groups and progress meetings.

To Excel In This Role, You'll Need

• University Master's degree is mandatory for mid level candidates.
• At least 1 year of experience with financial/accounting consultancy or financial IT systems.
• Strong experience in IT systems architecture.
• Good knowledge of enterprise architecture models (such as SOA and event-driven architecture), and the frameworks and tools that support them.
• Understanding of messaging concepts such as reliability, security, and routing.
• Experience with system interoperability (connecting different systems together).
• Knowledge of IT governance and quality processes.
• Familiarity with SAP interoperability technologies (e.g. RFC).
• Knowledge of project management approaches (such as RUP) and modelling notations (e.g. UML, BPMN).
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Ability to keep up with fast-changing technology, and to work well in international, multicultural teams.

Nice To Have

• Experience with SAP HANA and the S/4HANA suite.
• Experience designing systems that run on HANA or S/4HANA, whether on-premises, on public cloud (AWS, Azure), or on SAP Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of TOGAF.
• Experience with modelling tools such as PowerDesigner or ARIS.
• Knowledge of web services (REST, SOAP, OData).
• An Enterprise Architecture certification.
• Leadership experience running small teams.
