DICK’S Sporting Goods in Belgium is seeking a Bike Technician to deliver a differentiated cycling customer experience. You will build and repair bicycles, align recommendations with customer needs, and promote bike-related programs.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, strong service orientation, and the ability to stand and lift up to 35 lbs. You will contribute to the Bike Department's presentation and sales goals while supporting the store team.

Qualifications

  • Experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Knowledge of bike components and maintenance.

Responsabilités

  • Provide passionate customer service in the Bike Department to drive sales.
  • Build and repair bicycles following established procedures.
  • Recommend products and warranties aligned with customer needs.
  • Maintain bike department presentation and signage to company standards.
  • Support store team with safety, loss prevention and operating procedures.
  • Assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.

OVERVIEW

The Bike Technician is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated customer experience specifically to cyclists. The Bike Tech is responsible for building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures. This individual will pull from personal experiences and industry research and trends to provide strong product recommendations that align to the customer’s needs.

  • Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement, specifically (but not limited to) our Bike Department.
  • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
  • Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge,
  • dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity.
  • Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions.
  • Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
  • Build and repair bikes in accordance with established procedures. Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation standards and signage of Bike Department to Company standards as directed.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
  • Takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
