NATO SHAPE in Belgium seeks a qualified professional to coordinate IAMD-related planning, performance tracking, and system evaluations within the Systems Support Section. You will liaise with multiple units, manage inputs for budget and ORS processes, and help ensure interoperability and readiness of IAMD assets.

Role requires experience with IAMD, KPI-based performance monitoring, and a university degree with relevant experience.

The Plans Directorate is responsible for the development, review and maintenance of Strategic Planning, Advanced Planning and Crisis Planning products for ACO.

The Systems Support Section (SUP) will execute the Capability User Authority (CUA) including the conduct of maintenance and technical support, as well as technical evaluations of C2 systems. It will manage and monitor through-life system management, in-service support and budget execution of NATO C2 systems and sensors.

This post contributes to the Systems Support (SUP) Section and in particular for future NATO 2030 ISS requirements related to the Integrated Air & Missile Defence (IAMD) expansion.

Principal Duties

The incumbent's duties are:

1. Is the principal interface between SHAPE PLANS FD C2SOUS and Air Command Ramstein, DEU with the co-located Balistic Missile Defence Operation centre (BMDOC), Backup Static Air Defence Centre (SADC), Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) – hereafter referred to as “the Unit”.
2. Captures IAMD requirements from the Unit and translate them into inputs to the Medium Term Military/Resource Planning when eligible for Common-Funded (CF) Operation & Maintenance (O&M) through the Military Budget (MB) or as inputs to Operational Requirements Statements (ORS) for projects subject to funding through the NATO Security Investment Program (NSIP).
3. Contributes to the overall ACO Performance Management System iaw the ACO Directive 80-032, by assessing reported ACO Performance Tracking and Information System (APTIS) from assigned sites.
4. Monitors and analyses the performance and technical availability of assigned units, including the support provided by service providers.
5. Supports the Technical Evaluation programme conducted by SHAPE and conducts on-demand evaluations.
6. Ensures that NATO IAMD systems are maintained in adherence to the Minimum Military Requirement and to interoperability, integrity and logistics provisioning criteria.
7. Provides contribution to annual SACEUR's Report on Performance of the NATO IAMD Environment.
8. Provides staff inputs to management of NATO IAMD systems, including NATO Integrated Air & Missile Defence System (NATINAMDS) communications extensions.
9. Manages the record of systems deficiencies identified for the unit and makes recommendations on modifications, improvements and technical updates. Once approved at the appropriate level, progresses the follow-up recommendations and correction of deficiencies.

Essential Qualifications

Professional/Experience

1. Experience in Integrated Air & Missile Defence (IAMD) systems, including operational, technical, or engineering roles.
2. Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to performance monitoring.

Education/Training

University Degree and 2 years post related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.

Language

English - SLP 3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing)

NATO Grade : 15 (Basic Monthly Salary : 6,713.06 €, tax free)
