NN Group is seeking a seasoned React Native Developer to join our Multichannel team in Brussels. You will blend hands-on mobile development with technical leadership, shaping secure, maintainable solutions across digital channels.

You will design, develop and maintain cross‑platform apps using React Native/TypeScript, collaborate with backend and frontend teams, and drive automation in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mobile app development experience including React Native
• Strong knowledge of React Native, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with iOS/Android lifecycles and macOS development environment
• Experience with Web Components and modern frontend architecture
• Experience integrating REST APIs and backend concepts
• DevOps mindset with focus on automation and reliable delivery
• Bachelor degree in IT, CS or equivalent experience

What does your job as a React Native Developer look like? As a React Native Developer, you will join one of the scrum teams in the Multichannel domain. The domain designs, builds and runs digital application chains, including API integration, APIs, web applications and mobile solutions. You will take a leading role in mobile development and help shape robust, secure and maintainable solutions for our digital channels. You will combine hands on development with technical leadership. You will advise colleagues and the Domain IT Lead, translate business needs into pragmatic technical choices, and work closely with stakeholders, analysts, designers, backend developers, testers and platform engineers.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript
• Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture, application structure, reusable components, integration patterns and engineering standards
• Assess requirements, identify technical risks and propose sustainable solutions that balance user value, delivery speed, security and maintainability
• Collaborate with backend developers on REST API contracts, authentication, error handling, performance and end-to-end troubleshooting
• Work with Web Components and contribute to consistent, reusable user-interface patterns across mobile and web channels
• Build and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, quality validation and deployment processes
• Support mobile release management for iOS and Android, including development and build activities in a macOS environment

This is how you fit perfectly into our team

At least 5 years of professional experience in mobile application development, including substantial hands on experience with React Native

Strong knowledge of React Native, JavaScript and TypeScript, including component design, state management, navigation, performance optimization and native integrations

Practical experience with iOS and Android development lifecycles and confidence working in a macOS development environment

Experience with Web Components and a good understanding of modern frontend architecture

Strong experience integrating REST APIs and sufficient backend understanding to anticipate and discuss API, security, data and performance challenges

A strong DevOps mindset, with a focus on automation, reliable delivery, maintainability and efficient operations

Experience with automated testing, code quality practices, debugging, monitoring and secure software development

A bachelor degree in IT, computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Good command of spoken and written English, combined with good French or Dutch

Nice to have Experience with native iOS technologies such as Swift or Objective-C, or native Android technologies such as Kotlin or Java

Experience publishing and maintaining applications through Apple App Store and Google Play processes

Knowledge of accessibility, mobile analytics, secure storage, push notifications, deep linking or offline-first design

Knowledge of cloud platforms and supporting services, particularly Microsoft Azure
