ScioTeq is seeking an R&I Software Engineer to join the Research & Innovation team in Belgium. You will contribute to innovation projects, prototype new concepts, and mature technologies for future products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in industrial sciences, computer sciences or electronics-CT.
• 5–10 years of embedded software experience and tackling complex tech challenges (graphics, ML, AI).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in C and Python programming.
• Curious, innovative and energized by evolving tech with discovery-driven requirements.
• Able to collaborate in an international team and communicate fluently in English.

Responsabilités

• Perform software studies and investigations around next-generation computing platforms for safety and mission-critical computing.
• Design and develop prototypes to validate new concepts and technologies.
• Contribute to architecture and design activities for solutions.
• Support technology roadmaps and prepare technologies for adoption in future products.
• Explore domains like graphics, AI, ML, communication, HMI and advanced video solutions.
• Support proposal, demo and feasibility activities for innovation programs.
• Collaborate with experts across software, hardware and system engineering disciplines.
• Identify technical risks and create solutions to enable product development.
• Report to the Research and Innovation manager.
