imec invites a Master internship in Leuven to characterize novel electro-optical and electro-opto-mechanical quantum systems. The project aims to advance quantum transducers by converting microwave to infrared photons with high efficiency.

You will conduct literature research, simulations and analytical modelling; set up and perform experiments; analyze data and report results. A background in quantum engineering, physics or electrical engineering is required, with an updated CV and transcript

Qualifications

• Master student with strong interest in quantum optics & mechanics.
• CV and transcript of records from master’s program must be included.
• Independent, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work with a PhD team.

Responsabilités

• Literature research, simulations & analytical modelling, setting up and performing experiments.
• Analyzing and interpreting data collected during the project.
• Collaborate with the PI and PhD student to achieve project objectives.
