As an External Quality Senior Specialist, you will own and support end to end external quality processes while contributing to quality management system development and deployment. You will assess procedures, manage assigned quality systems and continuously improve processes using industry best practices and regulatory intelligence. You will also support business improvement projects, strategic process development and the introduction of new operating processes and systems for our client.
Key responsibilities
- Process ownership: Own processes and support end to end external quality process owners
- QMS development: Support the development and deployment of quality management systems
- Procedure management: Assess and update procedures governing quality oversight of external suppliers
- Quality systems: Lead and support assigned external and global quality systems
- Continuous improvement: Monitor and improve quality processes using current industry practices
- Process optimisation: Ensure quality processes remain lean and agile across supplier lifecycles
- Regulatory compliance: Apply regulatory intelligence to maintain quality and compliance requirements
- Project support: Support business processes, improvement projects and project management activities
- Strategic development: Contribute to new operating processes, systems and strategic process initiatives
- Supplier relationships: Build effective relationships with external manufacturers and supplier partners
Required competences & skills
- Education: Degree in science, engineering or another relevant technical discipline
- Industry experience: At least five years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Supplier quality: Working knowledge of external manufacturers and supplier partners
- GMP knowledge: Strong knowledge of current GMP requirements, policies and procedures
- Quality expertise: Experience across quality operations, quality control, quality systems, validation, regulatory or operations
- Regulatory knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of applicable global pharmaceutical regulations
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical skills: Strong ability to identify gaps, determine root causes and develop effective solutions
- Digital proficiency: Excellent computer proficiency including common office and enterprise resource planning systems
- Independence: Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and complete required training promptly
