Stowgroup is seeking a QA Test Engineer to perform comprehensive testing of our Offboard Systems software on physical hardware before release. You will work in the R&D department, collaborating closely with software developers and onboard engineers to ensure quality.
You will validate test scenarios across Atlas shuttle, Escala shuttle, and MCS conveyor hardware, review release notes, and document test processes and reports. Fluency in Dutch and English and strong communication are required.
The QA Test Engineer is responsible for comprehensive testing of our Offboard Systems software on physical hardware systems before release.
You will be working in the R&D department, collaborating closely with software developers and onboard engineers.
You will conduct thorough testing on physical systems, ensuring software meets quality standards and customer requirements.
You will test various configurations including different hardware setups (Atlas shuttle system, Escala shuttle system, MCS conveyor system) and database environments (PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server).
You will verify backwards compatibility to ensure seamless upgrades for existing customers.
You will execute customer-specific test scenarios involving custom plugins and configurations.
You will validate release notes, ensuring all new features and fixes are correctly documented.
You will document test processes, create detailed test reports, and communicate results to development teams.
You will participate in identifying and documenting software defects using issue tracking tools.
Experience with hardware/software integration testing is highly valuable
