Fusit is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join an innovative team building AI-driven computer vision solutions. You will work in a cross-functional Scrum team focused on scalable backend platforms, ML applications, data visualisation and architecture, with hands-on development and cloud/cloud-native practices.

Responsibilities include building APIs with FastAPI, leveraging AsyncIO, Docker and Kubernetes, supporting CI/CD, and collaborating across frontend, DevOps, QA and product teams, while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, OOD and design patterns.
• Experience with databases and containerized environments.
• Proactive, communicative and collaborative mindset.
• Based in Belgium, 3 days/week from Ghent office.

I’m currently looking for a Senior Python Developer to join an innovative engineering team working on AI-driven computer vision solutions.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional Scrum team building a scalable platform around machine learning, AI applications and data visualisation. The role combines hands-on backend development with architecture, cloud, CI/CD and the growing use of AI in software development.

What you’ll be working on

• Developing scalable backend solutions using Python
• Building APIs and services with technologies such as FastAPI & AsyncIO
• Working with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments
• Contributing to CI/CD and software architecture
• Collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, QA and product teams
• Using AI Agents and tools such as Claude Code in your development workflow
• Solving complex technical challenges and continuously improving code quality and security

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Good understanding of software architecture, OOD, design patterns and asynchronous programming
• Experience with databases and containerized environments
• A proactive, communicative and collaborative mindset
• Based in Belgium and comfortable working 3 days/week from the Ghent office
