Delta Engineering is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead centralized procurement across Belgium and Romania, shaping a cost-efficient policy for multiple sites. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory, and align closely with Engineering, Production and Warehouse teams to support growth.

You are a hands-on, analytical networker with a technical background who drives procurement projects and communicates across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Technical background with electronics and mechanics.
• Extensive buyer experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Analytical, results-oriented with commercial persuasiveness.
• Strong communicator and networker across organizational levels.
• Hands-on, pragmatic problem-solver who works independently or in a team.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop a centralized procurement strategy tailored to Belgium and Romania sites to implement a cost-efficient policy.
• Analyze existing purchasing processes and goods flows and adjust for smooth internal operations.
• Conduct price negotiations, select strategic suppliers, and optimize the international supplier network.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure optimal inventory levels for timely machine delivery.
• Lead the procurement team and collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Warehouse.
• Perform financial analyses, monitor market prices, and develop complex procurement projects.
• Handle internal and external communications and act as a networker between stakeholders.

As Purchasing Manager, you are a crucial link for the organization’s continued growth. You will have the unique opportunity to further professionalize the purchasing function and firmly establish its position within the international group. In doing so, you will combine a strategic vision with the necessary pragmatism to optimally support our production units in Belgium and Romania.

An overview of your key responsibilities:

• Drawing on your expertise, you will develop a centralized procurement strategy tailored to the needs of our various sites (Belgium, Romania), with the goal of implementing a cost-efficient policy.
• You will analyze existing purchasing processes and goods flows and make adjustments where necessary to ensure smooth and efficient internal operations.
• You will conduct price negotiations, select strategic suppliers, and optimize our international supplier network.
• You will monitor delivery schedules and ensure optimal inventory levels so that our high-quality machines can be delivered on time.
• You will lead the procurement team and work closely with the Engineering, Production, and Warehouse departments.
• You will conduct financial analyses, monitor market prices, and develop complex procurement projects.
• You will handle internal and external communication regarding the procurement process and are a strong networker who builds bridges between various stakeholders.

Profile

• You have a technical background with a strong affinity for electronics and mechanics.
• You have extensive experience as a buyer within a technical manufacturing environment.
• You are analytically strong, results-oriented, and possess a healthy dose of commercial persuasiveness.
• You are a communicative networker with good people skills who can interact effectively with various levels within the organization.
• You are a hands-on problem-solver who acts pragmatically in complex situations and can work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a definite plus.
