Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Project & Program Manager to join our fast-paced team focused on operational excellence. You will lead end-to-end projects within defined scope, time, quality and budget, collaborating with local operations, cross-functional squads and external partners to deliver value for customers.

You will bring a proven ability to plan, track, and optimize delivery, facilitate productive sessions, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering medium-sized operational or process-improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of Lean and structured operations change.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Dutch or French is a plus.
• Hands-on, pragmatic mindset prioritizing on-time delivery over perfection.

Responsabilités

• Translate briefs into actionable project plans with milestones and risks.
• Manage end-to-end projects from initiation to closure, incl. handovers.
• Monitor progress, budget and quality; flag risks and present options.
• Lead continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to improve delivery.
• Coordinate stakeholders and facilitate meetings for timely decisions.
• Escalate complex risks to senior management when needed.

About this role As a Project & Program Manager, you will join an energetic, fast-paced team dedicated to operational excellence. In this role, you will lead and deliver end-to-end projects within defined scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.

Working closely with local operations, cross-functional squads, and external partners, you will bring structure to complex briefs while embodying our core values to Lead, Deliver, and Care.

You will take full ownership of outcomes, keeping solutions simple and effective while putting a customer-centric approach at the heart of everything you do.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Turn defined briefs into realistic, actionable project plans with clear objectives, scope, milestones, and risk management.
• Run projects end to end from initiation to proper closure, including handovers and clear lessons learned.
• Track progress, budget, and quality, flagging slippage early alongside structured options and recommendations.
• Lead continuous improvement and LEAN process-optimization initiatives to elevate delivery operations.
• Manage operational stakeholders by preparing clear information to facilitate timely decision-making.
• Facilitate productive working sessions and steering meetings to keep projects moving at a swift pace.
• Execute day-to-day project activities directly, balancing hands-on work with structured oversight.
• Escalate complex risks, trade-offs, or scope changes to senior management when necessary.

What will you bring to the team?

• Proven track record of independently planning and delivering medium-sized operational or process improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of continuous improvement practices (such as LEAN) and structured operations change.
• Practical capability to manage operational stakeholders through clear, pragmatic, and fact-based communication.
• Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to turn complex choices into actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency with standard project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
• Exceptional written and spoken English skills; knowledge of Dutch or French is a strong asset in regional markets.
• A hands-on, pragmatic mindset that prioritizes effective, on-time delivery over theoretical perfection.
• Strong organizational capability to manage multiple parallel initiatives in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to build trust across matrixed organizations with local and central stakeholders.
