Description du poste

About the role

For the region of Charleroi, we are looking for a Lean Project planner who has a good knowledge of both English and French.

As a Lean Project Planner, you play a key role in our construction projects. You are the strategic driving force who ensures that project schedules are embraced by the project team, closely monitored, and adjusted whenever necessary. You will join our Civil Works Department, the cradle of the Group and still Jan De Nul's largest and most important division in its home market.

What you’ll do

As a Lean Project Planner, you work closely with the project team to ensure that every construction project is planned logically and efficiently from A to Z, from foundation to finishing.

  • You translate complex construction plans into realistic and detailed project schedules using MS Project.
  • You implement Lean principles on site and facilitate various Lean planning sessions with subcontractors to optimize workflow and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • You are not only the architect of the project schedule but also its visual ambassador. You transform complex planning data into clear, visual dashboards that are easy for everyone on site to understand.
  • You work in close partnership with the Site Managers to ensure that the project schedule is embraced and followed on a daily basis by all stakeholders on site.
  • You play an active role in coordination meetings, capturing decisions as they are made and immediately translating them into updated schedules and coordinated actions for all parties involved.
  • You monitor project progress, identify deviations at an early stage, and proactively propose scenarios to keep the project on track and meet deadlines.
  • You report on project progress and resource planning (equipment and workforce) to the project team and management.
What do you need?
  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline). We welcome both ambitious graduates and experienced professionals.
  • You have a good command of English and French.
  • You are accurate, resilient under pressure, and have a structured, planning-oriented mindset.
  • You have excellent knowledge of MS Project. Experience with Primavera is an advantage.
  • You combine strong analytical skills with the ability to facilitate workshops and communicate complex information visually to stakeholders at all levels.
  • You are confident in challenging others and take the lead during coordination meetings to build consensus within the project team.
  • You believe in the value of Lean Management and enjoy working in an efficient, continuous improvement environment.
  • You are analytical, an excellent communicator, and encourage others to critically assess and improve their planning.
