Role Overview

The Project Manager for BA & Customs project will lead (in collaboration with the Business PL and System Integrator PM) the planning, coordination, and execution of all activities within the scope of the BA & Customs project which is part of the PALoMa+ programme. This role is critical to ensuring the successful transition from legacy systems to the integrated SAP S/4HANA landscape, supporting Honda Motor Europe’s strategic transformation objectives. The PM will operate on the programme’s critical path, managing strict timelines, dependencies, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Governance
  • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for all BA & Customs workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with PALoMa+ governance and reporting standards.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for BA & Customs topics within PALoMa+.
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to validate scope and requirements.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to programme leadership and impacted business units.
• Cost Management
  • Estimate workload based on the scope and activities defined in the Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Monitor the budget based on the agreed cost baseline.
  • Define actions to stay within the approved cost baseline.
• Scope Management
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives, scope and level of effort.
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allocation of available departmental resources to various project phases.
• Risk & Quality Management
  • Identify and mitigate project & Business risks re, migration timelines, and system readiness.
  • Ensure robust testing and validation processes are in place.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across migration cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing BA (Business Administration) and/or Customs projects in large-scale ERP implementations (preferably SAP S/4HANA / GTS).
• Knowledge of Customs processes and/or SAP GTS.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource coordination.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, hybrid environments, and integration frameworks.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are highly desirable.
• Leadership and decision-making under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Attention to detail and commitment to deliver.
