Job summary

EFOR (formerly CVO-Europe) is a leading Life Sciences consulting group expanding in Belgium. It is looking for Project Managers at all levels to support ambitious projects for major pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device players.

As a Project Manager you will lead and coordinate technical, engineering and CAPEX projects, driving delivery within scope, budget and timelines, managing cross‑functional teams, ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance, and communicating with stakeholders in English

Qualifications

• A scientific or technical degree is required in engineering, pharmacy or life sciences.
• First or several years of experience in project management, ideally in pharma/biotech/med devices.
• Experience with technical, CAPEX or industrial projects is valued.
• Knowledge of regulated industrial environments and GMP requirements is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical, engineering and CAPEX projects including new facilities, revamps and capacity expansion.
• Manage projects across their lifecycle from feasibility studies to execution and handover.
• Define scope, objectives, budgets, schedules and resource requirements.
• Coordinate teams across Engineering, Production, Quality, Validation and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure GMP, EHS and regulatory compliance and report to stakeholders.

As part of our continued growth in Belgium, we are looking for Project Managers at all levels of seniority to support ambitious projects within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

While our main focus is on technical, industrial and CAPEX projects, we are also interested in Project Managers with experience in other areas of the Life Sciences sector.

Your role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects within highly regulated Life Sciences environments, ensuring successful delivery in terms of scope, quality, budget and timelines.

Depending on your experience and area of expertise, you may be responsible for:

• Leading technical, Engineering and CAPEX projects, including new facilities, revamping, capacity expansion, equipment installation and industrial optimization;
• Managing projects across their lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design to execution, commissioning and handover;
• Defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, schedules and resource requirements;
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams involving Engineering, Production, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, suppliers and contractors;
• Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans;
• Managing project budgets, costs, timelines and key performance indicators;
• Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS and applicable regulatory requirements;
• Leading project meetings, reporting progress and communicating with key stakeholders;
• Supporting continuous improvement, operational excellence and process optimization initiatives;
• Ensuring successful project delivery in line with business objectives and client expectations.

Depending on your background, opportunities may also involve Quality, Validation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Digital Transformation or other cross-functional projects within the Life Sciences industry.

Your profile

• A scientific or technical degree: Engineering, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or equivalent;
• First experience or several years of experience in Project Management, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry;
• Experience in technical, Engineering, CAPEX or industrial projects is particularly valued, although other Life Sciences project management backgrounds are welcome;
• Good understanding of regulated industrial environments, ideally including GMP requirements;
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and best practices;
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders;
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills;
• Ability to manage project priorities, risks, budgets and timelines;
• Proactive mindset, autonomy and results-oriented approach;
• Good command of English and French.
