Agfa is seeking a Project Engineer Automation to own automation projects from concept to commissioning in a high-tech production environment. You will translate technical challenges into scalable hardware and software solutions, and stay hands-on while leading end-to-end projects on the shop floor.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation, reliability, and continuous improvement, with growth toward senior expert or project

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in automation, engineering, or a technical project environment.
• Strong interest in integrating hardware and software.
• Hands-on, analytical, and solution-oriented.

Your role

As a Project Engineer Automation, you lead the design and implementation of automation solutions - from concept to commissioning.

You translate technical challenges into smart, scalable systems, combining hardware and software into robust solutions used daily on the production floor.

You manage projects end-to-end, while staying close to the technology. This is not a purely coordinating role - you remain hands-on and technically involved.

Your profile

• Master's degree in Engineering (e.g. Electromechanics, Automation, Computer Science, ...)
• Preferably 3-5 years of experience in automation, engineering, or a technical project environment
• Strong interest in integrating hardware and software
• Hands-on, analytical, and solution-oriented
• Able to take ownership and drive projects forward
• Good communicator and team player
• Fluent in Dutch and English
