Toyota Motor Europe is seeking an Engineer in Stamping PE to shape future mobility by preparing new vehicle concepts for mass production. You will develop stamping processes, lead design reviews, and coordinate trials across Toyota’s European plants.

The role requires CAD/CAE expertise, an engineering background, and strong collaboration across multiple departments. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with travel to manufacturing sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Catia V5, AutoForm or equivalent CAD and simulation software.
• Fluency in English and ability to work internationally.

Responsabilités

• Develop stamping processes and dies for mass production.
• Lead design reviews of stamping parts, stamping dies, tools and press equipment.
• Coordinate try-out and production trials; analyze results and implement countermeasures for issues like springback, wrinkling or cracks.

Team Description

The Vehicle Production Engineering (VPE) Division supports the introduction of new vehicle models into Toyota’s European manufacturing plants.

Within VPE, Press Production Engineering leads development activities such as:

• New vehicle planning
• Design for manufacture
• Production line set-up
• Introduction of press tool and equipment for mass production

Your Responsibilities

As an Engineer in Stamping PE, you will help shape the future of mobility by preparing new vehicle and production concepts for mass production. In this role, you will:

• Die Face development in CATIA V5 and define & develop stamping processes in line with Toyota Standards.
• Utilize digital forming simulation tools (e.g. AutoForm, Ansys) to create/optimise processes and predict potential defects.
• Lead the design review and validation of stamping parts, stamping dies, tools, and press equipment in cooperation with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Coordinate try-out and production trials, analyse forming results, and implement effective countermeasures for issues such as springback, wrinkling, or cracks.
• Work closely with Body Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to ensure part feasibility and manufacturability.
• Support mass production readiness by ensuring process capability and tool reliability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement (Kaizen) of stamping processes, tool maintenance standards, and production efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, periodical progress reports.
• Share technical know‑how and provide engineering support across Toyota’s European manufacturing sites.
• Explore and introduce innovative manufacturing technologies—including digital tools, automation, and virtual reality applications—to improve workflows and support Toyota’s vision of the factory of the future.

Your Profile

• You are fluent in English (TME’s business language).

• Openness to international assignments and is expected to participate in training programs at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey during the first two years of employment.
• Proficiency in Catia V5, AutoForm, or equivalent CAD and simulation software is a strong asset.
• An engineering background (or equivalent experience), ideally with exposure to die manufacturing.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel within the Office 365 environment are preferred.
• Ability to manage technical data effectively (3D data, drawings, and records).
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with curiosity for new technologies and continuous improvement.
• Openness to business trips & occasional weekend work at manufacturing plants (outside Belgium) to support key project milestones.
