Covestro AG in Antwerp seeks a motivated production support employee to handle loading/unloading, materials handling, forklift operation, and housekeeping in production areas. You will assist with daily plant processes, maintain safety and environmental standards, and support administrative tasks related to raw materials and waste streams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of production experience, forklift license, and basic SAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a production employee.
• Forklift license and experience loading/unloading trucks is a plus.
• Basic SAP knowledge is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Unloading raw materials and intermediates delivered by tankers, trucks or rail cars.
• Unloading packaging materials and other auxiliaries.
• Preparing ground and auxiliary materials for production installations (forklift transport).
• Loading products (big bags) and waste (pallets, drums, etc.).
• Loading intermediates and waste into tankers.
• Collecting waste and preparing recyclable off-spec material for take-back.
• Keeping raw material and auxiliary material warehouse in order and managing the container park.
• Various environment-related tasks in the wastewater system, e.g. flushing active carbon towers, sampling wastewater, daily monitoring of the active carbon park.
• Environment-related tasks in the ash treatment system, e.g. monitoring and exchanging activated carbon towers, monitoring resin burning.
• Production-supporting control activities and safety assignments (acting as safety watch).
• Housekeeping and orderly work; operating forklifts (recharging batteries) and maintaining bike fleet.
• Preparation and follow-up of annual inspections for hoses, flexibles and ladders.
• Various administrative-support activities, e.g. recording raw materials, documentation of waste materials and activated carbon towers, recording tasks performed.
