Job Profile Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Product Manager to strengthen our Acquiring squad and help shape the future of digital payments for merchants.

If you are curious — or even passionate — about the merchant ecosystem, Ecommerce, and how businesses get paid, and if you enjoy translating customer needs into impactful solutions, this role gives you the opportunity to make a tangible difference for our clients.

About The Role

Within ING’s Payments Tribe, our ambition is to offer smart, seamless, personalized and reliable payment experiences across all channels. Payments are a daily touchpoint for our clients and sit at the very heart of the bank.

The Payments Tribe is composed of three closely collaborating areas:

  • Cards & Payments
  • Acquiring, Accounting & International Payments
  • Cash & ATMs

You will join a small, highly collaborative Acquiring squad covering products such as Ecommerce payments, Point of Sale and SofPOS. In this context, you will have strong ownership, visibility and impact, contributing directly to product strategy, delivery and growth.

Your Responsibilities
  • Understand merchant needs, market trends and the digital payments landscape to design valuable customer journeys
  • Own and manage end‑to‑end payment products and journeys, from idea and refinement to launch, servicing and continuous improvement
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear requirements for IT, Risk, Legal, Customer Support, Sales and other stakeholders
  • Closely collaborate with the DevOps squad, understanding IT architecture and APIs, and helping to remove impediments creatively and constructively
  • Promote your products internally and externally, in collaboration with Marketing and Sales
  • Ensure alignment with business principles, risk management and external regulations
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectations, dependencies and delivery are aligned with customer needs
  • Actively contribute to the success of the self‑steering, multidisciplinary team, while independently managing your own workstreams
Your profile

We are looking for a colleague who takes ownership and makes things happen, thrives in a fast‑changing environment, and enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines.

You Bring
  • Proven experience in digital product or project management
  • Solid experience in the Acquiring / Payments domain
  • Experience with product promotion, marketing or sales, and building partnerships
  • Strong stakeholder and partner management skills
  • The ability to understand IT landscapes and automated processes (APIs, sequence diagrams, system flows)
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with a clear “can‑do” attitude
  • The ability to see the bigger picture while handling operational details
  • Fluency in English and at least one national language
  • A Master’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
What We Offer
  • A role with real impact on merchants and payment solutions used every day
  • A strong growth environment, with room to realise your ambitions
  • An informal, dynamic culture with experienced and supportive colleagues
  • An agile way of working where initiative and new ideas are truly valued
  • Ongoing support and coaching from your Product Lead
