Manufacture Belge de Chocolats (MBC) in Brussels invites applications for a 6-month full-time Procurement Internship starting in 2026. You will lead or support sourcing across ingredients, packaging, and indirect categories, balancing quality, cost and lead times per stakeholder specifications.

You will manage RFQs/RFIs, develop sub-category sourcing strategies, and assist the Material Planner to ensure timely supply.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Procurement specialization is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Dynamics a plus.

Responsabilités

• Benchmark key suppliers for existing indirect sourcing.

• Provide forecasting information to suppliers to prevent supply issues.
• Act as interface between suppliers and MBC teams to resolve issues.
• Support data collection, reporting, Procure-to-Pay, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Back up team members in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Your future role

As a Procurement Intern, you will lead or participate in sourcing activities for Manufacture Belge de Chocolats across various procurement categories, including Ingredients, Packaging, Indirect. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal balance between quality, cost, and lead time, in accordance with the specifications provided by stakeholders.

In this role, you will be assigned the following tasks:

• You will be responsible for sourcing for each sub-category and developing double sourcing strategies for key sub-categories.
• You will manage requests for quotation (RFQ) and requests for information (RFI) to create new opportunities, analyze these requests, and provide sourcing recommendations.
• You will support teams in indirect sourcing activities, including RFQs and pricing negotiations.
• You will proactively benchmark key suppliers for existing indirect sourcing.
• You will complement the activities of the Material Planner by ensuring on-time supply of ingredients and packaging.
• You will provide forecasting information to key suppliers in order to anticipate potential supply issues/constraints and improve partnership and information flow.
• You will act as the interface between suppliers and MBC teams, providing ongoing support to resolve supply issues.
• You will support other sourcing activities and projects (especially data collection, reporting, Procure-to-Pay processes, and cost reduction initiatives).
• You will back up team members as part of an entrepreneurial environment focused on team spirit
• You will frequently interact with internal teams (R&D, Production, Marketing & Innovation, Quality, Supply Chain) and external partners (Suppliers).
• You will accompany our R&D, Marketing & Innovation and Production teams in the development of new products or projects.

The profile we are looking for:

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) Degree.
• A specialization in Procurement (Business School, Engineering School or equivalent) would be a plus.
• You have the ability to manage end-to-end Procurement projects.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be a plus.
• You have good analytical skills.
• You have an assertive mindset and an ability to stay focused in challenging situations.
• You are a good communicator and team player.
• You are fluent in French & English.
