RLB professionals supports a leading international manufacturing group in recruiting a Procurement Category Manager. You will manage the global supply base for raw materials and strategically outsourced components, shaping sourcing strategy and strengthening supplier partnerships across regions.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor in Engineering or related field, 10+ years in international purchasing at division level, and fluent Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering or High Business school.
• 10+ years of experience in International Purchasing at division level within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Preferably 5+ years of experience in sourcing raw materials such as steel, metals, and aluminium.
• Advanced negotiations skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written) is a must.

Responsabilités

• Develop and align the category sourcing strategy with internal stakeholders.
• Define and validate the category objectives on Quality, Cost and Delivery performance (QCD), in line with the business targets.
• Develop, monitor and execute the Purchasing Sourcing Plan for the category.
• Manage the commodity supply base and report monthly commodity KPI’s.
• Provide commodity forecasts (price and availability) to guide decision making.
• Support Program Buyers to achieve program performance targets.
• Functional management of 1 - 3 Plant Sourcing Manager.

For an international manufacturing group, we are supporting the search for a Procurement Category Manager.

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the global supply base for raw materials and strategically outsourced components. You will play a key role in further developing the Purchasing organization and strengthening global sourcing capabilities, with the ambition to bring strategic sourcing methodologies, processes and tools to a leading standard.

Your category covers all externally sourced raw materials used in the production of finished products across the organization. The main materials within your scope are steel, stainless steel and aluminium, complemented by selected critical components that are strategically outsourced to third-party suppliers.

This is a global role with a strong strategic impact, offering you the opportunity to shape the sourcing strategy, develop long-term supplier partnerships and continuously improve purchasing performance.

Your responsibilities:
